There has been a chill in the air lately here in OKC, especially in the mornings. It has me in the mood to spend the day in the kitchen cooking some amazing warm fall inspired meals…but who am I kidding, I have no time for that!
Lately I have been loving the convenience of slow cooker meals. I spend a few minutes in the morning throwing everything in my crock pot and by the time I get home from my busy day it’s ready to go! I get home after work, set the table, light a fall candle, and we’re good to go for a cozy home cooked dinner. Nothing better!
Here are my top five slow cooker recipes that I’m loving this fall season. You can find links in the photo gallery below. Hope you love them as much as me!
- Glazed Ribs by The Pioneer Woman
If your husband is anything like mine, dinner revolves around the protein! Soup is normally my go to in the slow cooker, but I love this recipe because it’s different than the norm. We love to eat this with mashed potatoes and “sweet kale” bagged salad. (If you haven’t tried this super easy salad, you’re doing it all wrong)
2. Pumpkin Monkey Bread by Life Made Sweeter
Monkey bread PLUS pumpkin?! Enough said. Make this for dessert (or breakfast if you’re feeling crazy) and your family will love you for it.
3. Sherried Tomato Soup by The Pioneer Woman
Ohhhh man this may be the winner. This soup is what fall dreams are made of. It’s rich and creamy with a tiny bit of sweetness thrown in. We serve with easy Hot Ham & Cheese sliders and this is a really easy dinner for big groups.
4. Chicken & Dumplings by Spend With Pennies
I feel like this is an easy kid pleaser and really easy to make! It’s a hearty “stick to your bones” type of meal perfect for chilly weather.
5. Lasagna Soup by Skinny Taste
Let me just say…I cannot get enough of Skinny Taste recipes. I recently grabbed her cook book from Target and can’t get enough. Her recipes are healthy, delicious, and I love that they list the calories and even weight watcher’s point counts! This one’s a keeper.
