Throughout our adoption journey so far, there have already been so many seasons of waiting. Waiting on calls, waiting in lines, waiting on e-mails, waiting on letters. We’ve been elbows deep in paperwork for about three months now, but it seems like an eternity! We’re currently waiting on our home study approval, which we should have any day now and then we will be officially active and ready to adopt a sweet baby!
We’ve also been busy. As you can imagine there is a lot to do when it comes to preparing for a baby and we have been working hard on my favorite “to do”….our nursery! We have been building projects, painting, ordering, finding sales, and more for about eight weeks now. I love sipping my morning coffee in this room and dreaming about what it will look like and the memories we will make here over the next few years.
Here is a little inspiration for what I want for the room and it’s coming along great. It needs to be gender neutral of course, since we don’t know anything about our little one yet. Let’s be honest…it would have been gender neutral anyway and no matter what it will be covered in my favorite color, white! I wanted it to feel cozy, simple, and traditional with an all white crib. I hope you love the inspiration as much as I do and I can’t wait to show you the final result when we finish!
